Tracing Forms

Photography and Art Exhibition
2026.05.08 - 2026.07.30

In a carefully composed environment, “form” is often perceived as stable and resolved. Yet in reality, it remains fluid—continuously reshaped by light, movement, and the presence of the viewer.

This exhibition unfolds within a hybrid space where commercial display and domestic design intersect. Furniture, structure, and materials establish a clear visual order. The works presented here do not simply occupy this setting; rather, they intervene within it—subtly shifting and recalibrating spatial relationships.

Anne Lass employs a highly controlled visual language of color and composition to reorganize spatial perception. Her images of Berlin’s disappearing entertainment spaces retain traces of human presence within a composed stillness.

Gu Benchi approaches the concept of landscape through a structured visual language. By carefully manipulating material and form, he translates natural references into systems of order, while the use of ink introduces moments of sensitivity within this framework.

Hok Ho centers on the body as a site of experience. Through processes of fragmentation and recombination, memory, desire, and perception are transformed into visible structures, offering a way to examine the relationship between the body and its surroundings.

Chen Chuanduan constructs narratives that move between lived experience and fiction. By using memory as a flexible material, his work suggests how identity can be gradually reshaped—or even dissolved—within constructed environments.

Huang Jingyao extends photography into collage and installation, reworking everyday imagery through a spatial and symbolic lens. Fragments of memory are translated into physical forms that inhabit the space, allowing time and experience to unfold continuously in relation to the viewer.

Hugo Teixeira explores themes of migration and identity through the combination of craft traditions and photographic techniques. His works layer materials and images, forming a cross-media language open to multiple interpretations.

Across these works, space shifts from background to active condition, while the image moves beyond representation to shape perception itself.

Rather than defining “form,” the exhibition proposes it as an ongoing process—one that emerges through interaction. What remains are not fixed forms, but the traces of viewing as it unfolds within space.

Anne Lass

Hugo Teixeira
