THE OTHER HUMANITY constructed by Images

Drawing upon mythology, art history, archaeology, and the collective unconscious, his works do not attempt to reconstruct a lost civilisation. Instead, they build a visual system that exists between history and fiction.
Malevich, Lemuria, totems—cultural references that appear unrelated are brought together and reimagined. Rather than functioning as historical facts, they become an ongoing speculation about what it means to be human: how the body is defined, how civilisations are believed into existence, and how identity is constructed.
Photography here no longer serves as a document of reality. Instead, it becomes a means of producing it.
Images assume a new role. They create myths as much as they shape history; they preserve memory while continually reshaping our understanding of humanity itself.
The “other humanity” proposed by this exhibition is not another species, nor another civilisation.
It is the humanity that images continuously create.

如果一个从未存在过的文明，真的曾经存在呢？
如果一个没有脸的人，反而比一张真实的肖像更像“我们”？
如果一件被遗忘的农具，经过重新制作，变成了一件属于今天的图腾？
米塔尔·特尔齐奇的摄影，总是在追问这些看似没有答案的问题。
他并不满足于拍摄眼前已经存在的世界。相反，他亲手制作服装、道具和场景，把历史、神话、电影、艺术史和个人想象重新组合，再通过摄影创造出一个似真似幻的世界。
因此，这些照片看起来像是来自某个我们无法确定的时代：人物没有明确的身份，场景既像过去，也像未来；有些故事似乎听说过，却又从未真正发生。
这也是本次展览想要讨论的事情——我们究竟是如何认识自己的？我们记住的，真的都是亲身经历过的事情吗？那些神话、传说、艺术作品甚至从未发生过的故事，为什么依然能够留在我们的意识里，并影响我们想象世界的方式？
在这里，摄影不只是记录现实。它开始创造另一个现实。
