The Mixed
The exhibition tries to showcase the cross-cultural context through exploring the TERRA, the CONSTRUCTED objects and the HUMANITY, merging with the assimilations between the aboriginal and exotic visions, to evoke a complex and memorial intuition.
While discussing the 3 themes, humanity is central to this exhibition, from which a number of other challenges emerge. The earth is the support for various constructions, both physical and imaginable, which houses people, their feelings, their fears and their challenges.
This profusion of ties inspired ten artists of different nationalities and backgrounds, who questioned themselves, crossing diverse intercultural proposals in this exhibition in Foshan. "The Mixed" is not a point of arrival, rather than that, it’s a starting point. Of humanity under the terra and constructions.
The exhibition brings together five different cultural, art and retail spaces in the community to present the experience of each artist's work in a mobile city, integrating contemporary perspectives into the community and attracting attention from the outside world.
混合憶記
此次展览尝试在本土城市流动的空间中，呈现异化语境的交叉文化视觉表达，从土地，构筑体和人文观察之间的相融性，唤起复杂而模糊的混合记忆。
而在这个主题讨论里，人文无疑是展览所想呈现的中心，围绕着一系列挑战性的主体展开：土地是构筑体的承受者，时而坚固时而柔软，既是实体又是想象，二重对立性在这里有了充分解释；构筑体容下肉身，包裹着人的情感，恐惧与挑战并存。
十位不同背景和国籍的艺术家回应着这些强度充沛的连结，诘问自身，并在这次展览中跨越文化界限，呈现各自镜头前的语言。《混合忆记》非到达彼岸，而是起航点，在土地之上构筑空间，空间之上承载人文。
此次展览联合了社区内五个不同的文化、艺术和零售空间，来呈现各个艺术家的作品在流动城市中的体验，将当代的视野融合到社区，也引来外界的关注。
